Efficiency 1 Motors
Efficiency 1 motors (Eff1) can represent a substantial saving when looking at the total life cycle costs.

Across all industry it is estimated that motors consume 70% of a company's electricity.
It makes sense then to use electrically efficient motors to help reduce this consumption and reduce your carbon foot print.
Typically the cost of a motor plus servicing is only 2% of the total life cycle cost, the remaining 98% being energy consumption.
An Eff1 motor is at least 3% more efficient than an Eff2 motor. Across a 10 year life cycle on a 22kw motor with electricity costs of 0.05p/kw per hour this would represent a saving of £1500.
Imagine the savings if all your motors were Eff1.
